If you play Farmville like me, but are looking for more things to do on your farm, you’ll like Barn Buddy. This game not only requires you to plant, harvest and plow (or in their terms ‘Remove Dead Plant’) but you are also responsible for making sure your crops are maintained properly though watering, fertilizing and spraying for bugs and weeds. Barn Buddy also combines elements of Farmtown by allowing users to sell their crops through a storehouse within the game.
Created by TheBroth in 2009, this game provides the challenge of stealing crops and protecting your own from barn buddies. This gives players more crops to sell in their storehouse and even provides additional expert points when you add weeds and bugs to your friends’ farms.
A draw back of Barn Buddy, compared to Farmville, is the limited size of your actual farm. The game only offers expansion up to 3 x 6 plots, which members cannot begin expanding to until the 5th level. The game also offers a mere 8 different animals, which you can only purchase one of.
I have started this blog about Barn Buddy to share tips, tricks and new features because I enjoy the game’s excitement of maintaining and protecting my crops, as well as stealing my friends’ crops. Be sure to bookmark me!
