How to play Barn Buddy
On Barn Buddy, you can plant seeds, care for plants, and harvest crops. To care for your plants be sure to water them and spray for weeds and bugs. You can add fertilizer to make them grow faster. As you interact with your farm you get more experience points and level up which unlocks new seeds, more plots of land, bonuses, and more you can do on Barn Buddy. You can also buy animals and decorations to personalize your farm.
Coins and Credits
What are coins (Gold Coins)?
Coins are the official currency of Barn Buddy. You get coins for selling your crops. You can also get coins for helping your friends and if your dog bites a friend or enemy.
What are Barn Buddy credits (Red Coins)?
Credits allow you to purchase Barn Buddy premium items. These include decorations for your farm, animals, and stronger fertilizer. Barn Buddy credits may be given as a reward but they are most easily purchased in the Barn Buddy store. Additionally, there are offers you can sign up for that will give you free credits.
What is the difference between credits and coins?
Coins are part of the regular play on Barn Buddy. You get coins for growing and caring for your farm. Barn Buddy Credits are for bonus items that make your farm more unique or make your crops grow faster and make you level up faster. Barn Buddy Credits are for premium items or to skip ahead to parts of the game that require a higher level. The easiest way to get Barn Buddy credits is to buy them. The Dog
What is a Dog?
A dog is your own virtual Barn Buddy pet. It will guard your farm. You can feed it as part of taking care of your farm. You can get a dog by purchasing it with Barn Buddy credits or by referring 10 friends to Barn Buddy
What does a dog do?
Your dog guards your crops from your friends. When you have a dog, friends and other Barn Buddy users cannot steal your crops, add weeds, or add bugs. Every time they try your dog will bite them and earn you coins as your friends run away.
How do I get a dog?
You must purchase the dog with credits. All methods for earning credits are listed in the Earn More Credits page.
The Cow
What is the cow?
The cow is a permanent animal for your farm. You can harvest milk from your cow which will give you experience points. You will get coins for selling the milk.
How do I milk the cow?
Click on your cow with the harvest glove to milk your cow. Your cow can be milked every 6 hours
How many experience points do I get from the cow?
You get 10 experience points for milking the Basic Cow. You get 10 experience points for collecting the milk. You get 40 experience points for milking the Organic Cow. You get 65 experience points for collecting the Organic milk. You get 65 experience points for milking the Chocolate Milk Cow. You get 80 experience points for collecting the milk.
The Pig
What is the pig?
The pig is an animal for your farm. You can clean the pig every 6 hours and receive experience points. You get no coins from your pig.
How do I clean the pig?
Click on your pig with your harvest glove when it becomes dirty. You will receive 70 experience points for cleaning your pig.
Expanding Your Farm
Why can't I plant on every square on my farm?
You have to wait to level up to unlock some plots on your farm. When you click on the small expand sign it will tell you the level and cost of the next plot of land
How do I remove the stones and rocks?
Removing the stones and rocks and what might look like grass or small weeds are called Farm Expansion in Barn Buddy. You can only expand your farm one square at a time at certain levels and for certain coin prices. Click on the Expand sign on your farm for more details.
When can I expand my farm?
You can start expanding your farm one square at a time when you reach a certain level. You will need to need to purchase new squares using coins or you can purchase right away with credits. Experience Points and Levels
How can I increase my experience points and level up?
You level up by getting XP (experience points). These are reflected in the meter in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. You get experience points for watering, harvesting crops, removing dead plants, and spraying for weeds and bugs. You can get experience points if you water and spray your friends' crops too.
How do I earn experience points?
You can earn experience points by planting and harvesting crops, tending to your and your friends' plants, caring for animals, and clicking on certain items on your farm. A star with a number will appear to tell you that you have received experience points.
How To get credits
